The general public nominated a record 3500 businesses across the four categories which included village shop, local food, rural enterprise and best traditional business. There were four equestrian busineeses selected in the best traditional business category. These were bespoke tack maker Helen Leedham from Worcestershire, Elms Farm Equestrian feed merchants from Surrey, Calcutt and Sons saddlers from Hampshire and Mendit Rug and Tack Limited from Dorset. Judges will now visit the companies to determine the regional winners.
