Horses first
domesticated in 3500 bc |
Scientists now
believe that horses were first deomesticated around 3500 bc.
The Botai
culture in Kazakhstan is believed to have trained the Tarpan wild
horse for riding and milking. They also used them for meat and even
sacrificed the breed for religious purposes.
The Tarpan
breed eventually became extinct in the early 1900's. |
