Horses Suffer
Work Stress |
Researchers at
the University of Rennes in France have found that dressage and busy
school work causes horses higher levels of stress than jumping or eventing.
The scientists
studied 76 horses and found that a daily routine of schooling or
dressage work could affect the animals behaviour. The negative
experiences linked to training could lead horses to switch off,
becoming unresponsive and apathetic.
